Access by Car
Coming from Budapest on road 21, you should turn left at Mátraverebély, towards Szentkút. Then drive 5 more kilometres to the Shrine – signs indicate the way all along the road.
Coming from Salgótarján, it is not necessary to come down until Mátraverebély. It is enough to turn right at the end of the bend after the Nagybátony junction.There is also a sign indicating the Nagyboldogasszony/Our Lady Basilica.
Access by Public Transport
There is a coach service from Népliget, Budapest to Mátraverebély. From here, the connection is not the best to Szentkút; buses run rarely. You can ask the reception of the Pilgrim Centre for help with transfer from the Mátravrebély bus stop to the Shrine.
